Over the 2007–2008 winter, trees were felled and milled on-site using a portable sawmill, and the lumber was kiln-dried and molded before being used to construct the alpaca shelter. The main building was completed in fall 2009, at which point the herd was moved to the estate and an on-site boutique was opened.

The breeding program emphasizes careful selection of sires based on genetics and physical characteristics. The estate also includes maternity wards and nurseries, reflecting an organized approach to managing the herd through the birthing season.
