Destination Dalmatian

Destination Dalmatian raises dalmatians and a variety of small companion breeds in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, about 25 miles northwest of Harrisburg in central Pennsylvania. The program is run by Alicia Longenecker, whose path to breeding began with a personal connection to the dalmatian breed before expanding to include dachshunds, Havanese, Maltese, Pomeranians, and standard poodles, among other breeds.

All dogs are home raised rather than kept in kennels, and parents undergo both genetic and health testing before breeding. Puppies are crate trained and puppy pad trained before going to their new homes, a step Alicia considers an important part of setting families up for an easier transition.
