Deer Mountain Alpacas, LLC raises both huacaya and suri alpacas on a small farm in the rolling hills between Arlington and Granite Falls, Washington, roughly an hour north of Seattle. Anne and Mike Boling have been tending their herd for over 23 years, making it one of the more established alpaca operations in the region.

Fiber quality has been the guiding principle of the program since the beginning, with selective breeding aimed at improving the fleece produced by each animal in the herd. The farm offers educational tours during spring and summer, giving visitors a chance to meet the alpacas up close and learn about their care and the fiber they produce.
