Deborah Niemann-Boehle has been raising Nigerian dwarf dairy goats at Antiquity Oaks in Cornell, Illinois, since 2002, with a clear focus on productive home-dairy animals rather than show stock alone. Cornell sits in central Illinois, roughly an hour southwest of Bloomington-Normal, making it a practical source for Nigerian dwarf goats for sale in Illinois and the surrounding region.

The Niemann-Boehle family established Antiquity Oaks as a working homestead on 32 acres, and the goat program has always been oriented toward real-world dairy production. Selection criteria center on milk output, udder structure, and teat placement — traits that matter for families milking by hand. A long-term goal of the herd is natural parasite resistance, and pasture rotation is used as the first line of defense against internal parasites rather than routine chemical dewormers.

The herd is closed, with no new does added since 2005, and any bucks introduced since then have come from herds with documented negative test results for CAE, CL, and Johnes. All goats are regularly screened through biosecurity testing at WADDL. Kids are disbudded, tattooed, and wethers are castrated before leaving the farm. Deborah is also the author of several books on homesteading and goat care, and has offered on-farm and online classes through the Thrifty Homesteader Academy for buyers who want a deeper grounding in husbandry before their animals arrive.
