Deanna Baca

Deanna Baca, Nigerian dwarf goat breeder in Albuquerque, New Mexico, raises a healthy herd on her family farm. Across north-central New Mexico, she has more than a decade of experience in goat husbandry supported by regular health testing, lineage verification, and membership in the American Dairy Goat Association.

Her goats graze in rotational paddocks and enjoy daily social interaction with family members and fellow livestock. Far from crowded pens, they live in a converted barn fitted with natural ventilation and soft bedding. Deanna’s attention to gentle handling and early socialization gives her goats calm temperaments appreciated by small-scale dairy and hobby farmers.

Several of her does in milk production have earned advanced milk-star ratings through the ADGA performance program, reflecting the herd’s consistent production. Kids are handled daily from birth to ensure confident, people-oriented goats. Kids join the mixed livestock herd and adapt easily to pasture rotation, fostering resilience and hardiness.
