Dean Damman

Dean Damman, Pony of the Americas breeder in eastern Iowa near Des Moines. Dean draws on years of experience raising well-structured ponies and maintains membership in the Pony of the Americas Club. Bloodlines are selected for good bone, correct conformation and amiable dispositions suited to families and youth riders. Each foal receives daily handling, regular veterinary care, vaccinations and Coggins testing to ensure health and soundness.

Their ponies live on pasture with shelter access and a rotational turnout schedule that builds strong limbs and a resilient temperament. Many have gone on to local shows, while others find roles in youth riding programs and community-based therapy sessions. The small family farm setting underscores a hands-on environment where every animal’s well-being is a priority. Adapted to the midwestern climate, these ponies develop dense coats in winter and shed smoothly for summer comfort.
