Commercial heifers purchased back from customers are developed on-farm, measured and sorted before being bred for spring calving, reflecting a hands-on approach to heifer development that feeds directly back into the seedstock offering.

Red Angus bulls and bred females from this south-central Nebraska ranch have sold to buyers across more than 25 states, and the operation has grown to encompass thousands of acres of grass alongside crop ground in Phelps County. After nearly two decades, Cross Diamond earned recognition as the Phelps County Development Corporation's Ag Innovator Business of the Year, a nod to the program's consistency and its role in the regional cattle industry.
