Croft Kennels

Croft Kennels in Lake Butler, Florida has been raising miniature dachshunds since a family litter sparked their interest back in 2005. Run by Chet Croft out of north-central Florida, roughly an hour southwest of Jacksonville, the program grew over time to include miniature bull terriers, added to the pack in 2010, and French bulldogs.

Dogs are raised inside the family home rather than in outside kennel runs, with an emphasis on early handling and close human contact from birth. The program's stated focus is on temperament, with puppies placed with families and service homes across the country. Parents are health tested through OFA breed-specific panels, and puppies are placed on limited registration with a spay/neuter contract for pet homes, with full registration available for approved breeding homes.
