Country Charm Chihuahuas

Country Charm Chihuahuas, run by Tamera Lee in Ligonier, Indiana, breeds both long-coat and smooth-coat chihuahuas with a focus on AKC-registered, champion-lined dogs. Ligonier sits in northeast Indiana, roughly an hour south of Fort Wayne, placing the program within reach of families across the region looking for chihuahua puppies in Indiana.

The program produces dogs for both the show ring and home companionship. Among its show dogs, one smooth-coat male earned a Grand Championship and competed at the 2022 Westminster National Dog Show, finishing as the top-ranked smooth-coat male in the country by AKC point standings that year. A second dog completed his Championship and advanced toward Grand Champion status, also competing at Westminster.

All dogs are OFA health tested and AKC inspected and approved. Puppies leave with vet certification from a licensed Indiana veterinarian, including age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and full health records. The dogs are raised inside the home with free-range living, and the program maintains a shelter-free rehoming policy, asking that any dog placed be returned to them rather than surrendered to a shelter.
