Cotton Creek Farms
Cotton Creek Farms raises huacaya alpacas on 27 acres in Thompsonville, Michigan, south of Traverse City. Jason and Rebecca Gill launched the farm in 2018 after relocating from the Detroit area, starting with just a few animals and building the herd to more than 60 alpacas today.
The farm is deeply involved in the alpaca community. Cotton Creek Farms holds membership in the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA), has been designated an AOA Mentor Farm For Youth, and has served on the board of the Alpaca Association of Michigan. Jason also holds a leadership role on the AOA's Board of Directors, and the farm operates a local 4-H club called Farm and Fleece through the Northwest Michigan 4-H Livestock Council.
Beyond breeding, the operation offers alpaca sales, breedings, boarding, and mentoring services for new and prospective alpaca owners. Those looking for alpacas for sale in Michigan will find a working farm focused on carefully matching animals to buyers based on their specific goals and experience level.
