Comancheria Kennels

Comancheria Kennels, run by Glenda Nunnally, focuses on Tibetan mastiffs in Mentone, Alabama, a small community in the mountains of DeKalb County in the northeastern corner of the state, roughly an hour from Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Glenda began acquiring Tibetan mastiffs in 2007 and has built a program grounded in hands-on research, consulting multiple established breeders before bringing her first dogs home. The kennel has produced AKC conformation competitors, with one litter alone yielding six AKC Champion titles, several earned before the age of nine months.

Finnish lapphunds also share space in the program under the Junaluska name. The two breeds live alongside one another on the property, and the lapphunds have become closely bonded to the mastiff pack.
