Clark Family Farm, Leicester longwool sheep, Thurmont, Maryland, Frederick County and the Catoctin Mountains near Frederick. Caroline Clark has been raising Leicester longwool sheep for several years, following breed association guidelines and routine health screenings.

The flock grazes on rotational pastures, with lambs socialized daily and sheltered in a roomy barn with straw bedding to ensure comfort through all seasons. Each lamb is selected for calm temperament and strong bone structure, reflecting its focus on easy-care animals for small holdings.

The farm began as a family homestead decades ago and maintains low-stress handling and a tradition of hands-on livestock care. Attention to fleece density and staple length supports use by handspinners and fiber artists who work with natural, heritage-quality wool. Routine hoof care and parasite monitoring are performed under the guidance of a local large-animal veterinarian to maintain flock health.
