The program is a small-scale, home-based operation that produces only one or two litters per year, allowing for close attention to each dog and its new family.

Health testing is a cornerstone of the program. Both parents are tested before any breeding takes place, and the females carry CHIC numbers earned through evaluations that include heart, eyes, DNA panels, and hip assessments. The breeding stock also carries champion sire lines. Temperament is treated as equally important as health, with an emphasis on producing confident, calm, and trainable dogs suited to life as companions or therapy dogs. Dogs are not shipped, as Mary prefers to meet families in person.
