Cascade Rose Alpacas

Cascade Rose Alpacas raises huacaya alpacas in Carnation, Washington, in the Snoqualmie Valley about 30 miles east of Seattle. Shari Hollinger has been tending the herd since 2010, with a program that emphasizes fiber quality and the temperament of each animal.

The farm is oriented toward education as much as breeding, and anyone who purchases an alpaca — whether as a pet, a fiber animal, or breeding and show stock — receives ongoing mentorship from Hollinger. Farm tours are open to the public, giving prospective alpaca owners in Washington a hands-on way to learn about the animals before committing to a purchase.

Alpacas for sale from Cascade Rose include bred females, open females, and males. The herd has produced animals with notable fleece characteristics, including strong grey genetics and high follicle density — traits the farm tracks as part of its selection focus.
