Caretti German Shepherds

Caretti German Shepherds has been breeding and showing German shepherd dogs in Brandon, Mississippi since 1978, making it one of the longer-running programs for this breed in the state. Jim and Cyndi Flautt founded the kennel together, and their work spans conformation, obedience, rally, tracking, and herding, with conformation being the area of greatest distinction.

The program earned Breeder of the Year at the 2015 German Shepherd Dog Club of America National Show, a nationally recognized honor. Dogs bred or co-owned by Caretti have earned titles including Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, Register of Merit, and Select at the GSDCA National Specialty, reflecting a long record in the conformation ring. Health testing is a consistent element of the program, with OFA hip and elbow evaluations carried out on breeding dogs, and some dogs also holding GSDCA temperament certifications.

The Flautts are lifetime members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and are also affiliated with the Jackson Obedience Training Club and the Mississippi State Kennel Club. Their kennel sits outside Jackson, placing them in the heart of central Mississippi, roughly in the Jackson metro area.
