Carah Colbert-matchett

Carah Colbert-matchett raises dairy goats in the Arkansas River Valley near Little Rock, Arkansas. Her herd is registered with the American Dairy Goat Association and she has cared for dairy breeds for more than ten years, following recommended health tests for common conditions.

Carah emphasizes early kid socialization so each goat is comfortable around visitors and other farm animals. Kids and adult goats live on pasture with daily social time and enrichment, and rotational grazing supports natural foraging and strong hooves. Homegrown forage supplemented with quality hay helps maintain balanced nutrition year round.

Shelters are cleaned daily and each animal has access to fresh water and shelter adapted to seasonal needs. The farm hosts seasonal workshops to share best practices in sustainable animal care and pasture management. Visitors often note the goats’ calm temperaments and the personal attention each animal receives on this family-run operation.
