Callison Farm Great Pyrenees

Callison Farm Great Pyrenees raises great Pyrenees on a working farm in Amorita, in the heart of Northern Oklahoma, roughly an hour northwest of Enid. Kyle and Lindsey Callison got their start with the breed in 2019, bringing great Pyrenees onto their multi-species farm to guard cattle, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys from coyotes, and the experience turned into a dedicated breeding program.

The program centers on type, temperament, and health, with an emphasis on producing dogs that conform to the AKC breed standard rather than the shorter-nosed, bear-headed look sometimes favored by hobbyists. Puppies are raised and socialized alongside other dogs, livestock, fowl, and the Callisons' young children, giving them broad, real-world exposure from the start.

Health testing is a formal part of the operation. Adult dogs hold OFA CHIC numbers covering CMR and DM DNA, patella, hips, and heart evaluations. Callison Farm is a participant in the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program, and Kyle and Lindsey are members of the AKC Sooner State All-Breed Kennel Club in Enid.
