Brightman Farm

Brightman Farm raises Kiko and myotonic goats on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, near Salisbury, in Princess Anne. Robert and Elizabeth Brightman developed their pasture specifically for their herd, cultivating it without chemicals starting in 2014, roughly two years before the goats arrived.

The program works with two NKR-registered Kiko herdsires and MGR-registered myotonic foundation stock, with a focus on parasite resistance, strong conformation, and growth performance. One of their Kiko bucks placed in the top ten of the 2015 Western Maryland Meat Goat Performance Test, which evaluates both parasite resistance and rate of gain. The myotonic side of the herd includes animals with moonspotted genetics and champion bloodlines, among them lineage tracing back to the 2015 National MGR Champion.

Goats from Brightman Farm are available as registered breeding stock for meat production or brush clearing, as well as crossbred wethers suited for companionship.
