Brian Schalk

Brian Schalk is a breeder of Boer goat kids in Texas, operating in the heart of the Texas Hill Country near San Antonio. His ranch blends rolling pastures with shaded pens that give young goats room to explore and develop.

He has been breeding Boer goats for more than eight years and holds membership in the American Boer Goat Association. All breeding stock undergoes regular health screening for CAE and CL, with results recorded by a local veterinarian. Kids are weaned at eight weeks and raised alongside other livestock, which helps them adapt to varied social settings.

The ranch began as a family homestead more than three decades ago and hosts occasional educational visits for youth groups. His commitment to gentle handling ensures that each kid is comfortable with human contact. Several of his goats have earned top placings in county fairs, reflecting a focus on both temperament and conformation.
