Blanco Labradors

Blanco Labradors has been raising English Labrador retrievers in Live Oak, California since 1992, making it one of the longer-running Labrador retriever programs in the Sacramento Valley region, about an hour north of Sacramento.

Owner Andrea Vega Singh focuses exclusively on light yellow Labradors — classified as yellow under the AKC standard — selecting for health, temperament, and conformation to the English type, which favors a blocky head, strong bone structure, and a dense otter tail.

Each breeding dog is registered with the AKC and tested through OFA for hips, elbows, heart, and eyes. The dogs live in the home and are raised as part of the family, with early socialization to varied sounds and environments. The program draws on champion English and Swedish bloodlines, and the dogs have been placed as service dogs, therapy dogs, hunting companions, and family pets throughout California.
