Bentwood Alpacas & Yaks

Bentwood Alpacas & Yaks has been raising alpacas on its rolling hill farm in Tully, New York since December 2002. Owned and operated by Suzanne and Mark Drumm, the farm sits in the heart of Central New York, roughly 20 miles south of Syracuse, across terrain that brings heavy seasonal snowfall and abundant green pasture.

The Drumms came to farming with the goal of raising their children in an agricultural setting, drawn to alpacas for their manageable care needs and gentle temperament. Over the years, the program has grown to include yaks alongside the alpacas, making Bentwood one of the few farms in the region raising both species.
