Bella Fleur Cavaliers
Bella Fleur Cavaliers, run by Carol Lynn Johnson, breeds Cavalier King Charles spaniels on 10 acres just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the Caledonia area of Kent County.
The program holds AKC Breeder of Merit status, established in 1987, and the dogs are actively shown in AKC conformation and companion events. Carol Lynn serves as an AKC Licensed Judge and AKC Delegate, President and Show Chair of the Grand Rapids Kennel Club, and President of the Great Lakes CKCSC, Inc., the Michigan regional Cavalier club. She also holds voting membership in the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, the AKC parent club for the breed.
Health testing for the Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppies produced here covers OFA advanced cardiac clearances, MRI, OFA patella, OFA hip, OFA autoimmune thyroid, and DNA clearances for curly coat, dry eye, and episodic falling syndrome. Annual CEAR eye exams, advanced cardiac clearances, and heart echos are conducted as well. To strengthen generational health, a number of the breeding dogs are imported, selected specifically for pedigrees with multi-generational health testing and documented longevity. All dogs share the family home. Labrador retrievers are also part of the program.
