Autumn Wind Alpacas

Autumn Wind Alpacas raises alpacas in Payette, Idaho, a small agricultural community in the Treasure Valley near Boise. The ranch is owned and operated by Art and Val Bradford, a couple whose path to alpaca farming began after attending an alpaca show in Southern California that sparked a lasting interest in the animals.

The Bradfords started with a small group of four alpacas to build their knowledge before gradually growing the herd to around 20 animals. After relocating from California, they chose Payette as the base for a small-scale livestock operation designed to be efficient and sustainable across multiple revenue streams. Autumn Wind Alpacas also raises Micro Miniature Mediterranean donkeys alongside its alpaca herd, making it one of the more diversely stocked small farms among alpaca breeders in Idaho.
