Aspen Kreek Akaushi

Aspen Kreek Akaushi, wagyu cattle, Idaho Falls, ID, Eastern Idaho near Pocatello. Aspen Kreek Akaushi is run by Garth Brinkerhoff, who has more than a decade of breeding experience with the American Wagyu Association and screens every animal for common genetic conditions. Their cattle graze on open pasture at the base of the Snake River Plain and are given hay grown on the ranch along with daily hands-on care to encourage calm handling. The ranch dates back to 2008 and blends traditional grazing methods with careful health monitoring.

One local chef notes the consistent marbling and gentle temperament of their wagyu herds. Breeding stock live in mixed herds that include both mature breeders and growing calves, which helps develop social bonds and reduces stress. Vaccinations and wellness checks are performed by a local veterinarian throughout the year to support herd health.
