Arriba Linea Alpacas

Arriba Linea Alpacas, run by Lori Jones and Tom Vanhanen in Lindsay, Ontario, has been raising huacaya alpacas for over 19 years, building a herd around bloodlines that stand apart from what most Canadian programs carry.

The farm draws on a mix of renowned genetics — including Vaccoyo, Alpamayo, Coyo Destini, and Lionel lines — while also prioritizing lineage rare enough that animals from the herd are often unrelated to the majority of males buyers already own. That focus on genetic diversity gives Arriba Linea a distinct role among alpaca breeders in Ontario and across the country.

All animals are dual-registered through both AOA and CLAA, and the program has a demonstrated show record, producing champions across multiple colour categories at competitions ranging from Alpaca Ontario and Alpaga Quebec to AOA Nationals. Lindsay sits in the Kawartha Lakes region, roughly an hour and a half northeast of Toronto, making the farm accessible to buyers throughout southern Ontario and beyond. The herd also includes an appaloosa line, with animals producing spotted progeny that carry fine fleece alongside their distinctive colouring.
