Andras Stock Farm

Andras Stock Farm has raised red Angus cattle in Manchester, Illinois, in the west-central part of the state, for several decades — a program rooted in a multi-generational family legacy that stretches back to the 1830s. The herd is primarily registered red Angus, with a small number of Polled Hereford and registered Angus cattle also maintained. The program calves roughly 180 cows on the home farm and works with an additional 80 head through cooperator herds, utilizing both artificial insemination and on-farm embryo transfer work. Manchester sits in the Illinois River Valley, about 30 miles west of Springfield.

On the show side, the farm has earned a National Champion Bull, a Reserve National Champion Bull, two Grand Champion Bulls at the North American International Livestock Exposition, and a Grand Champion Female at the same event, among other national honors.
