Alpagas Charlevoix

Alpagas Charlevoix is a family-run alpaca farm in Les’Boulements, QC, Charlevoix region near Quebec City. Led by Nathalie Poirier, the farm maintains a breeding program that balances fleece quality with robust health, adhering to annual veterinary checkups and routine health screening protocols.

The alpacas graze on rotational pastures enriched by seasonal forage, and nearby woodlands offer shelter during colder months. Animals receive daily socialization, from gentle halter training to supervised pasture interactions, fostering calm temperaments and trust.

Each fleece is processed on site, carefully skirted and graded before reaching local artisans who craft yarns, textiles and felted goods. Visitors often note the farm’s quiet setting and the herd’s serene presence, reflecting a commitment to sustainable farming and animal wellbeing. A small selection of breeding stock is retained each year to gradually enhance traits such as staple length and micron counts.
