Alpacas @ Triple Tree

Alpacas @ Triple Tree is a huacaya alpaca farm run by Myron and Jackie Bechler in Sheldon, Iowa, in the northwest corner of the state near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The farm maintains a sizable herd across multiple categories, including foundation females, breeding stock, and herdsires, with animals spanning a wide range of colors and ages.

The Bechlers have built their program with an eye toward lineage, and several animals in their herd carry show-proven genetics, including lines connected to champion-titled sires. Fiber production is a meaningful part of the operation as well — since 2014, the farm has been sending fleece from its own alpacas to an Iowa fiber mill to produce finished goods, making their fiber products traceable directly back to animals on the property.

Beyond raising alpacas for sale in Iowa, Myron and Jackie have oriented part of their program toward helping newcomers enter the industry, offering support and mentorship to those looking to start their own herds.
