Allegheny Front Farm

Allegheny Front Farm is a Scottish highland cattle breeder in Maysville, WV in the Potomac Highlands near Morgantown. Danny Berg Jr. has been breeding highland cattle for over a decade and maintains his herd with registered stock meeting breed association standards. Each animal undergoes routine health testing for parasites and hoof care, and they graze on native pastures that reflect the farm’s commitment to sustainable land stewardship.

Calves are raised in small groups with early exposure to familiar sights and sounds, giving them confidence and a calm temperament. The rustic barn and open paddocks are designed to support natural behaviors while protecting the herd from extreme weather. The farm has been in the Berg family since the 1960s, blending tradition with attentive daily routines that nurture herd health.
