Aladax Briards raises briards in Dripping Springs, Texas, about 30 miles west of Austin, under the guidance of owner Martine Annette Gould. With over 20 years breeding the breed and a background as a Board Certified Genetic Counselor, Martine brings a distinctly science-informed perspective to her program that sets it apart among briard breeders in Texas.

The breeding program selects for beauty, temperament, health, and longevity. Puppies are raised inside the home as part of the family, alongside aunts, uncles, and a rotating cast of adults and children, with indoor puppy pens, play yards, and a large property available for exploration and development. Early socialization follows the scientific principles of canine behavior and development, incorporating planned stressors and varied experiences aimed at producing stable, well-adjusted dogs.

Long-term owner relationships are a hallmark of the program, with many families returning for a second, third, or even fourth briard. Aladax also raises Biewer terriers alongside the briards. The kennel's commitment extends well past placement, with training support available to owners throughout the lifetime of each dog.
