4K Labradors

4K Labradors raises Labrador retrievers in Fresno, California, operating out of a 15-acre ranch in California's Central Valley, about 50 miles from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Christine Kovacevich leads the program, which focuses on producing Labrador retriever puppies in Fresno, CA suited equally to fieldwork and family life.

The program maintains both field and show lines across all three colors, and actively competes in AKC conformation and hunt tests. 4K Labradors holds AKC Breeder of Merit recognition, reflecting a long-standing commitment to health, structure, and working ability in their dogs. Breeding stock is health-tested through OFA and CERF evaluations.

Christine has served in multiple leadership roles with the Central California Labrador Retriever Club, including as President, Secretary, and Public Education Coordinator, and has also been involved with the Hills Ferry Retriever Club. The ample acreage gives the dogs room to train and work, keeping fieldwork a practical, daily part of the program rather than just a stated goal. Miniature American shepherds are also part of the kennel's breeding program.
