11M Ranch raises Scottish highland cattle in Grover, Colorado, serving northern Colorado near Denver. Donald Dee has overseen breeding for more than seven years, following breed association guidelines for health screening and genetic testing.

The ranch’s open grasslands support rotational, pasture-based grazing with daily hands-on care and early socialization to build sturdy, well-adjusted cattle. Animals live in small family groups on rolling grassland pastures to ensure lower stress, strong herd bonds, and easier monitoring of animal health. Calm temperaments and thick winter coats reflect the breed’s hardy nature and the ranch’s low-stress setting. Scottish highland cattle are valued for lean meat and gentle dispositions, traits that the ranch upholds through selective breeding.

The ranch’s remote location also limits exposure to common cattle diseases, supporting overall herd health. Overwintering takes place in well-ventilated shelters, where animals receive supplemental hay during Colorado’s cold months.
