Story
A mission was born.
As a little girl I had a dream to find a way to help animals have a second chance at life, because everyone should know love especially those who cannot speak for themselves. From this came the dream to start a non-profit animal rescue, and after working at the animal shelter when I was a young teen and then as a Veterinary Technician for over 10 years, I knew neonate care was where I wanted to help the most.
From a dream to a mission:
When I was working at the WVC animal shelter, I saw that nobody knew how to care for these baby kittens that would come in without a mom, and we would have no choice but to unfortunately put them down because of it. To me this was not okay, so for years I bought the books, I studied the course work in school and through my training and experience as an ER veterinary technician I leaned into one specific field neonate care!
In 2015 I started fostering kittens on my own, staying up all night bottle feeding and stimulating them to use the bathroom. From there this dream mission grew into a full-time gig & a name was born, "Rascal's Neonate Foster Program" named after my very first cat I rescued as a young girl when others wanted to give up on him. This quickly blossomed into the foster program it is today specializing in SAFETY, LOVE & TRUE CONNECTIONS between the fosters and their forever homes.
Every life deserves a second chance to thrive and grow old with love!
