Spotted Blue-eye
Pseudomugil gertrudae
The spotted blue-eye is a small freshwater fish from Australia and New Guinea, with blue eyes and dark spots on its fins. Males display expanded fins during courtship. Keep a group in a mature planted aquarium with gentle filtration and tiny foods. It attaches small numbers of eggs to vegetation or spawning media over repeated days, so breeders can collect eggs and prepare appropriately tiny foods for the fry.
