Saba Anole
Anolis sabanus
The Saba anole is native to Saba in the Lesser Antilles, where it uses trees, shrubs and other elevated perches. Adult males can be bright green with dark markings, while females and younger animals are often browner; both have a long slender tail. It is kept and bred by specialist anole keepers.
A planted enclosure with many perches and visual barriers supports its climbing lifestyle, and territorial behavior needs close observation. Its diet is insect-based. Females lay individual eggs rather than giving live birth.
