Mixed Morph
A mixed morph rainbow boa is a Brazilian rainbow boa whose visible traits or genetic background involve more than one color or pattern line. Rainbow boas already have an iridescent sheen over reddish-brown saddles, so morph names should be used carefully when albino, anery, hypo, snow, or other captive traits are involved. Mixed morph does not identify a single look; it signals that the snake's genetics or appearance need a fuller explanation.
Good husbandry is more important than the label on a rainbow boa. These boas need secure caging, stable warmth, clean water, and humidity management that supports shedding without leaving the enclosure constantly wet. Breeders should track pairings, het status, hatch dates, feeding, and sheds so offspring are not sold with inflated or confused morph claims. Buyers should ask for parent information and current husbandry details, especially when a snake combines recessive traits that may not all be visible.
