Orange-head Cockroach
Eublaberus posticus
The orange-head cockroach is a burrowing tropical roach with an orange-tan pronotum and brown wings in adults. Females retain their egg cases internally and produce live nymphs. Captive colonies need deep substrate, warm conditions, ventilation and access to moisture without stagnant wet bedding. Offer a varied diet with adequate protein and remove spoiled food. Nymphs live beneath the surface, so provide space and shelter rather than relying only on stacked egg cartons.
