The Nyasa Lovebird, scientifically known as Agapornis lilianae, is a small, vibrant parrot native to the woodlands and savannas of southeastern Africa, particularly in regions around Malawi, Tanzania, and Mozambique. These lovebirds are renowned for their strikingly beautiful plumage, primarily consisting of a bright green body complemented by a vivid orange face and throat, which gradually transitions into a warm yellow on the chest. The wings exhibit darker green tones, and their short, blunt tails are accentuated by blue highlights.

Nyasa Lovebirds are social creatures, often found in pairs or small flocks, reflecting their affectionate nature, which gives rise to their common name. Their diet is primarily frugivorous, supplemented by seeds and berries, foraged from the lush environments they inhabit.
