McCord's Snakeneck Turtle
Chelodina mccordi
McCord's snakeneck turtle is an egg-laying freshwater turtle from Roti and associated island populations in the eastern Indonesian region. It has a long slender neck that folds sideways, a low oval brown shell and webbed feet. It is maintained in specialist and conservation breeding collections.
Housing needs clean swimming water, easy access to land, basking and nesting space. Regional forms and closely related island turtles make documented identity and origin useful. CITES Appendix II has a zero export quota for wild specimens.
Colors: Wild Type
