Martinique Anole
Anolis roquet
The Martinique anole is native to Martinique in the Lesser Antilles, where it climbs trees and shrubs. Adult coloration ranges from green to gray-brown, with patterns varying across the island; males display a yellow to orange dewlap. It is kept and bred by anole specialists.
A planted enclosure uses branches, shelter, UVB, a basking area, drinking droplets and small insect prey, with moist substrate for egg laying. Males are territorial. Its regional forms belong to this species rather than representing separate captive morphs.
