Least Killifish
Heterandria formosa
The least killifish is a tiny freshwater livebearer from the southeastern United States, despite the killifish common name. Its gray-brown body has a dark side stripe, and females are larger than males. Keep it in a mature planted aquarium with gentle filtration and tiny foods, away from large or aggressive fish. Females carry overlapping broods and release small numbers of live young at intervals, rather than laying eggs.
