Mixed Morph
A mixed morph leachianus gecko is a Rhacodactylus leachianus whose locality, pattern, or breeder-line background includes more than one recognized category or is intentionally blended. Leachianus geckos, also called New Caledonian giant geckos, include mainland Grande Terre forms and island forms such as Nuu Ana or Isle of Pines. Mixed animals may be impressive geckos, but their labels should not imply a pure locality.
For keepers and breeders, mixed morph leachianus geckos require the same serious planning as any large leachie: secure vertical housing, stable humidity, appropriate diet, and respect for territorial behavior. Pairing decisions should be made slowly because adults can injure each other. Honest records about locality claims, parents, and seller information matter, especially when offspring might later be represented to other keepers.
