Kuhl's Flying Gecko
Gekko kuhli
Kuhl's flying gecko inhabits Southeast Asian forests and rests against tree trunks. Its mottled gray-brown body has skin flaps along the sides and limbs, webbed toes and a fringed flattened tail that help it glide and camouflage. It is maintained in specialist gecko collections.
A tall planted enclosure needs bark surfaces, concealed resting sites, ventilation, regular hydration and insect prey; the delicate animal is best observed with minimal handling. Females lay eggs. Older literature calls it Ptychozoon kuhli.
