Trichogaster chuna
The honey gourami is a small labyrinth fish from northeastern India, Bangladesh and Nepal, found in weedy ponds, ditches, flooded fields and slow rivers. Breeding males turn honey orange with a dark blue-black throat and belly, while females are silvery brown with a darker side stripe.
