Guadeloupe Anole
Anolis marmoratus
The Guadeloupe anole is a tree-dwelling lizard native to Guadeloupe in the Lesser Antilles. Adult males can be emerald green or turquoise, with head and body patterns varying between populations and a yellow display dewlap. It is bred by anole specialists, who keep the origins of their lines distinct. A planted enclosure with branches, hiding cover, UVB, a basking area, water droplets and small insect prey supports its climbing habits. Females lay eggs. Several former island forms are now separate species.
