Briareum violaceum
Green star polyp is a soft coral found on reefs of the western Pacific, from Japan and Taiwan through the Coral Triangle to the Great Barrier Reef. It grows as an encrusting mat with a magenta underside, from which many small green polyps with eight feathery tentacles extend.
