Crossbred

A crossbred green-rumped parrotlet is a Forpus passerinus-type bird with mixed or uncertain ancestry involving green-rumped lines, related parrotlets, or captive color mutations. Green-rumped parrotlets are small Neotropical parrots, generally less common in aviculture than Pacific parrotlets. Crossbred status should be stated clearly because small parrots can look similar across related species or color lines, especially when blue or lutino mutations are involved.

Care should focus on a small parrot's needs: secure housing, daily activity, safe chewing material, social management, and a balanced diet with pellets, vegetables, and measured seed. Breeders should avoid putting crossbred birds into pure species projects and should record parentage when known. For pet homes, the main questions are health, temperament, age, and whether the bird was properly weaned and socialized, not whether the label sounds rare.

Colors: Blue, Lutino, Normal Green
