Unknown Morph
An unknown-morph green iguana is an Iguana iguana with no reliable color-morph or parentage information. That is common for surrendered pets, pet-store juveniles, and animals that have changed hands more than once. The iguana may show orange, blue, yellow, red, or normal green tones, but appearance alone should not be treated as proof of a specific morph or genetic combination.
Unknown-morph iguanas should be managed by species needs and individual condition. They require large secure housing, climbing height, heat, UVB, humidity, and a calcium-conscious herbivorous diet. Adult males in particular can become strong and territorial, so handling plans should be realistic. If breeding is considered, the unknown status should remain in the record. For most homes, rescue programs, and sanctuaries, accurate care planning matters far more than finding a marketable color label.
