Mixed Morph

A mixed-morph green iguana is an Iguana iguana whose appearance or ancestry combines more than one captive color morph, such as blue, red, orange, yellow, albino, axanthic, snow, or normal green lines. Green iguanas are large arboreal lizards, and morph names describe color expression rather than a separate species or small-pet variety. A mixed morph may be visually bold while still having the full adult size, strength, and environmental needs of a green iguana.

Keepers should not let the morph label distract from husbandry. Green iguanas need very large enclosures, climbing structure, high-quality UVB, strong basking heat, humidity control, and a plant-based diet. Breeders should document parent morphs and avoid presenting mixed offspring as clean examples of a single line. Buyers should plan for adult housing and handling before color because a young mixed-morph iguana can outgrow casual setups quickly.

Colors: Albino, Axanthic, Blue, Normal/Wild Type, Orange, Red, Snow, Yellow
