Unclassified Morph
An unclassified-morph green and black poison dart frog is a Dendrobates auratus whose exact locality or captive color line has not been assigned. Auratus frogs have many recognized hobby forms, and similar-looking blue, green, bronze, mint, or yellow animals may come from different histories. The unclassified label is more responsible than guessing a locality from color alone, especially when the frog's purchase or breeding records are incomplete.
Care should follow the needs of captive-bred auratus: a humid planted enclosure, stable temperatures, clean microfauna-rich leaf litter, and frequent feedings of dusted fruit flies or other tiny prey. For breeding, unclassified frogs should generally be kept out of locality-pure projects. They can be maintained as display or educational animals, but records should say exactly what is known and unknown. That keeps the hobby's morph information cleaner for future keepers.
